Online Stores
We build and maintain online stores, from a few hundred products to catalogs of many thousands. This site runs on Magento 2.4.8, and our projects include a store with about 12,800 products that we redesigned and moved to PHP 8. Whether you are opening your first store or replacing a platform you have outgrown, we look at catalog size, integrations and budget before recommending anything.
- Ecommerce website development – planning, catalog import, checkout and SEO setup.
- Platforms: Magento 2, WooCommerce and PrestaShop.
- Platform migration with 301 redirect mapping so rankings survive the move.
- Integrations: payment gateways, shipping APIs and ERP/PIM sync.
- Conversion: e-commerce UX design and CRO & A/B testing.
Keeping an ecommerce website healthy after launch
An online store is never finished. Once it takes orders, the work shifts to keeping it secure, fast and accurate, and to catching the small problems that quietly cost sales:
- Updates and security patches. Platform releases, extensions and the PHP version underneath, always tried on a staging copy first.
- Checkout checks. Regular test orders with each payment and shipping method, especially after an update.
- Product feeds. Errors in Google Merchant Center or marketplace feeds, such as missing identifiers or price mismatches, which can keep products out of shopping results.
- Speed. Caching, image sizes and third-party scripts that pile up over time.
Search engine optimization for online retail
Stores face SEO problems that ordinary websites do not. Layered navigation can generate thousands of filter combinations that waste crawling, product variants and sorting options create near-duplicate pages, and category pages often carry no text explaining what they contain. We decide which filter pages deserve indexing, use canonical tags for the rest and write short, useful category introductions. User experience optimization runs alongside: clear delivery information, visible stock status and search that finds products by name or code.
Frequently asked questions
What should happen to out-of-stock or discontinued products?
If the product will return, keep the page live with a clear availability message and an option to be notified. If it is gone for good, redirect it to a direct replacement if there is one; otherwise let it return a 404 or keep it with links to similar products, rather than sending everyone to the home page.
Is my e-commerce platform holding the business back?
Warning signs include extensions that no longer receive updates, hosting stuck on an old PHP version, integrations that need manual workarounds and staff spending hours on tasks the platform should automate. A review shows whether fixing the current store or moving to another platform makes more sense.
Can one store serve both retail and trade customers?
Yes. Customer groups can see their own prices and payment options. Magento and PrestaShop support groups out of the box, WooCommerce usually needs an extension, and complex trade rules may need custom work.
