Websites

A website should load fast, work on every phone and bring in enquiries. We design new sites, look after existing ones and fix the ones that are slow, hacked or invisible in Google. Sites we built and still run are listed on our Our Projects page.

Tell us what you have today and what the site should achieve, and we will suggest the smallest change that gets you there.

Improve the current site or start again?

Not every weak website needs a redesign. Before recommending one, we check the points that decide the answer:

  • Responsive design. Does the site work properly on phones, or was a mobile layout bolted onto an old desktop design?
  • The software underneath. A CMS version or theme that can no longer be updated safely usually means rebuilding, while an up-to-date site can often be improved in place.
  • Content that already ranks. Pages that bring visitors from Google today are protected in any plan, with their addresses kept or redirected.
  • Who can edit it. If only a former developer could make site updates, the structure has to change so your own team can manage it.

Website management that does not depend on one person

Good website management starts with ownership. The domain, hosting account, DNS, analytics and Search Console should be registered to your business, with at least two people holding access. We document those logins, the plugins or extensions in use and where backups are kept. Routine site maintenance then covers software updates, broken links and forms, while site optimization deals with speed, search visibility and accessibility.

Your online presence beyond the website

The website is only one place where customers meet your business. Your Google Business Profile, email on your own domain and listings in industry directories should show the same name and contact details as the site, since mismatched information confuses customers and search engines alike.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a new website to rank better in Google?

Rarely by itself. Rankings depend more on useful content, a clean technical setup and a site that works well on phones than on a fresh design.

Who should own my domain and hosting?

Your business, always. A developer or agency can be given access to manage them, but accounts registered in their name make changing providers difficult later.

Which should come first: speed, SEO or design?

First fix anything that stops visitors from using the site, such as broken forms, errors on phones or security warnings. Speed and technical SEO usually come next because they help every page, and design changes follow once you know what visitors struggle with.
