We designed it, wrote it, host it and keep it running, so it is also the clearest example we have of what our team does for clients: a complete web platform, from the server up.
What WeavyAudio does
Small businesses ask a simple question more often than you would think: what music can we legally play in here? Consumer streaming apps are licensed for personal listening, and most services that sell background music for business play licensed chart music with performance royalties built into the price. What we built behind it
From the IT side, WeavyAudio is a full piece of music streaming platform development, and most of the work is the part visitors never see:
- A Next.js web application for the public site, the player and the customer area, with a MariaDB database and PM2 keeping the app processes alive behind an Apache web server.
- Linux server hosting on our own Debian server: TLS 1.3 certificates that renew themselves, HSTS, backups and monitoring, the same setup we offer in our Linux server setup and administration service.
- A catalog pipeline that turns each new track into a finished page: audio, cover art, genre, key and tempo, lyrics and license data, with web-sized cover thumbnails generated on the fly.
- Billing and licensing: Stripe subscriptions, a no-account free trial, and a PDF certificate generated for every active subscription.
- A bilingual website in English and Polish, with hreflang tags so Google shows each visitor the right language.
Technical SEO and speed from day one
A catalog site lives or dies on search, so technical SEO was part of the build rather than an afterthought. Around sixteen thousand track, artist and album pages are listed in XML sitemaps, including image sitemaps for the cover art, and every page carries a canonical address and structured data. We also worked on Core Web Vitals: the home page's Largest Contentful Paint came down to under two seconds once the hero section stopped waiting for JavaScript animations, and heavy cover images are now served as small WebP thumbnails.
